Victoria International Airport to the Inn at Laurel Point
(approximately 40 minutes)
Follow the main road out of the Airport to the ‘T’
intersection with Mctavish Road. Turn left onto McTavish and
then immediately right again onto the Pat Bay Highway Drive
south all the way into Victoria. The Highway will eventually
turn into Blanshard St. Continue along Blanshard St. all the
way through town to the end. It will eventually reduce to
two lanes, go down a short hill, turn a corner and become
Belleville Street. Continue along Belleville past the BC Legislative
Buildings and the inner harbour to the ‘T’ intersection
with Montreal Street. Turn right on Montreal Street and follow
it to the Inn at Laurel Poin. Montreal Street dead-ends at the
hotel front door.
B.C. Ferry to the Inn at Laurel Point
(approximately 40 minutes)
Follow the main road out of the terminal onto the Pat Bay
Highway. Drive south all the way into Victoria. The Highway
will eventually turn into Blanshard St. Continue along Blanshard
St. all the way through town to the end. It will eventually
reduce to two lanes, go down a short hill, turn a corner and
become Belleville Street. Continue along Belleville past the
BC Legislative Buildings and the inner harbour to the ‘T’
intersection with Montreal Street. Turn right on Montreal
Street and follow it to the Inn at Laurel Point. Montreal Street
dead-ends at the hotel front door.
Inn at Laurel Point to Arbutus Ridge
(approximately 45 minutes)
Retrace your route from the Inn at Laurel Point to Belleville
Street. Follow Belleville past the BC Legislature to Douglas
Street. Turn left onto Douglas Street and follow it straight
for quite some time. It will become the highway leading you
out of town. Follow the highway over the Malahat drive (approx.
20 miles) and toward Duncan. You will pass through a small
town called Mill Bay (the speed limit will be reduced so be
careful here). Approximately 2 miles north of Mill Bay you
will come to the intersection of the Island Highway and Hutchinson
Road (it is a light regulated intersection). Turn right onto
Hutchinson Road and follow the signs to Arbutus Ridge.
Inn at Laurel Point to Bear Mountain
(approximately 30 minutes)
Retrace your route from the Inn at Laurel Point to Belleville
Street. Follow Belleville past the BC Legislature to Douglas
Street. Turn left onto Douglas Street. Follow straight along
Douglas for quite some time. It will become the highway leading
you out of town. Follow the highway to Exit 14 Langford/Highlands.
Turn right off the highway and take the right hand lane onto
Mill Stream Road (toward the Highlands). Continue along Mill
Stream Road approximately five minutes past the Home Depot
to Bear Mountain. The entrance will be on your left hand side.
Inn at Laurel Point to Olympic View
(approximately 30 minutes)
Retrace your route from the Inn at Laurel Point to Belleville
Street. Follow Belleville past the BC Legislature to Douglas
Street. Turn left onto Douglas Street. Follow straight along
Douglas for quite some time. It will become the highway leading
you out of town. Follow it until you come to Exit 14 Langford/Highlands.
Take the exit. Stay in the left hand lane and follow the signs
South toward Langford. This route will take you under and
then onto the overpass onto Millstream Road. Follow Millstream
all the way to the very end. It will change names to Veterans
Memorial Parkway and eventually end at a ‘T’ intersection
with Latoria Street -Turn right onto Latoria. The entrance
to Olympic View Golf Club is just around the corner on your
left-hand side.
Inn at Laurel Point to Fairwinds
(approximately 120 minutes)
Retrace your route from the Inn at Laurel Point to Belleville
Street. Follow Belleville past the BC Legislature to Douglas
Street. Turn left onto Douglas Street and follow it straight
for quite some time. It will become the highway leading you
out of town. Drive North through Duncan and Nanaimo until
you reach the small community of Nanoose. You will know you
are close when the highway runs parallel and very close to
the water. The speed limit drops to sixty kilometres shortly
thereafter and there are often speed traps so be careful.
As you come to the bottom of the hill you will see a gas station
on your right-hand side. Turn right in front of the gas station,
onto Northwest Bay Road and follow it to Powder Point Road.
Turn right onto Powder Point Road and follow it all the way
to Fairwinds Golf & Country Club.
